About Truly Living Talk Therapy

Compassion. Perspective. A fuller life.

I’m Robert Smeltz, NP, PMHNP, ACHPN, a board-certified psychiatric and palliative care nurse practitioner. For more than 20 years, my work in palliative care has brought me alongside people and families during some of life’s most difficult and meaningful moments.

I learned that the end of life is not only a time of loss. It can also be a time when people clarify what matters, reconnect with important relationships, and discover a deeper sense of meaning. That experience now shapes my work as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and therapist.

I work with older adults, people living with serious illness, people experiencing grief and loss, and adults who want to explore their fear of death in order to live with greater intention, freedom, and purpose.
